Kinder Arrests Have Two Routes
Kinder is Allen Parish's second-largest incorporated town. The 2020 Census put its population at 2,170. Two separate operations matter here. Kinder Police Department handles municipal law enforcement. Separately, Louisiana DPS&C lists Kinder City Jail on its own. That state listing is worth noticing. It knocks down the assumption that every Kinder arrest lands at Allen Parish Jail in Oberlin.
A city arrest might begin at Kinder City Jail and transfer to parish custody later. Other lawful routes exist too. Everything depends on the agency and the case. The municipal LA VINE endpoint is the first documented online custody check. Once a transfer happens, the Allen Parish Sheriff's old roster and newer OCV roster become the official sources carrying photographs. The arresting agency field can tie a parish booking back to Kinder Police, though it won't show every stop along the custody chain.
Where Kinder Busted Mugshots Appear
Start with the official custody channels. No verified Kinder police blotter or daily arrest list exists online. There's no municipal photo policy either. LCLE does list a Kinder Police LA VINE endpoint. Its roster program is live and refreshes every 30 minutes. Even so, that program description makes no promise that a photo appears.
| Channel | Photo? | Authority | Use |
|---|---|---|---|
| Kinder LA VINE | Not verified | Official municipal | Local custody when available |
| Kinder City Jail | By request | Official custodian | Municipal booking record |
| APSO roster | Often | Official parish | Parish and transferred bookings |
| OCV roster | When supplied | Official parish | Current profiles |
| Media and aggregators | Sometimes | Unofficial | Secondary leads |
The APSO released view can show a release date and a photo for selected entries. Treat it as a partial window, not a full archive. The Sheriff app linked from the official site offers one more channel. Still, it has no confirmed arrest-only feed or app-only photo tool.
Busted in Kinder: Check Custody
Track where the person might have moved. Don't just type a name into unrelated databases. A municipal name may not have reached the parish site yet. A released person may have dropped off the Current list. Someone sentenced can shift into Louisiana DPS&C custody.
- Open Kinder LA VINE and note whether the endpoint is available.
- Call Kinder City Jail at 337-738-2600 if municipal custody remains possible.
- Search the APSO roster by last name, then compare Current, Released, date sorting, and alphabetical controls.
- Try OCV and match booking number, time, age, city, and arrest agency.
- Request the police report from Kinder Police and the booking image from the jail that made it.
- Use the Clerk and 33rd JDC for the final disposition.
The Allen Parish booking guide walks through the county interfaces. Once state custody begins, Vinelink and DPS&C inmate information come into play. Neither replaces the Kinder municipal check.
Request Kinder Busted Records
The Town's forms library holds municipal paperwork, including a police employment application. No public booking-log form or records-request form appears there. The page tells visitors to call or visit when something is missing. So ask Kinder Police for its incident or arrest report. Ask Kinder City Jail or APSO for the booking summary and photograph, depending on who performed intake. The official Kinder forms page shows what's available:
The interface invites direct contact when no form exists. It does not amount to a public arrest feed.
Town Hall: 333 N. 8th Street
Kinder, LA 70648
Police / jail: 337-738-2600
Jail fax: 337-738-2947
Town Hall: 337-738-2620
Town Hall keeps hours of Monday through Thursday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., plus Friday from 8:00 a.m. to noon. DPS&C lists the jail at P.O. Drawer AH. No Kinder fee or response time has been verified. When you write, give the full name, date, agency, booking number if known, and the exact item you want. Request a cost estimate too.
No Kinder Busted Blotter
Kinder has an official forms portal but no verified online police blotter. A form library is not an arrest database. The APSO press page posts general news rather than a fixed 24-hour or weekly booking feed. If someone was reportedly busted last night, check municipal custody first, sort the APSO roster newest first, and call the booking custodian if nothing turns up.
The official APSO roster states no update interval. LCLE's 30-minute language covers LA VINE custody data, not when a mugshot was taken or uploaded. A missing name could mean delay, release, transfer, a spelling variation, or a different custodian. It cannot prove no arrest occurred.
The booking fields themselves have limits. A card may list the legal name used at intake, booking number, date and time, charges, bond, and photograph. An OCV profile can add age, race, gender, address, and arrest agency. Court dates and dispositions are not standard fields on the roster. Use the booking number as a strong matching key when asking the jail for a record, but never guess one from a third-party page.
Release changes the question. The released view can show a release timestamp for the entries it exposes, and LA VINE can support custody notification where available. A release entry says nothing about why the case ended, and it does not erase the arrest report. The court record holds those answers.
Kinder Busted Mugshots in News
Local news adds another layer. AllenParishToday runs Allen Parish coverage and Kinder Courier material. It often repeats APSO arrest summaries, though photos appear on no set schedule. KPLC Crime sometimes picks up Kinder-area investigations with APSO-supplied images. Neither outlet publishes a full custody list. Treat their stories as samples, not a roster.
Commercial mugshot sites are a different animal. Busted Newspaper, RecentlyBooked, Mugshots.com, and Mugshots.zone sometimes tag entries as Kinder P.D. bookings. Arrests.org has a Louisiana section. No stable Allen Parish page could be confirmed there, though. None of these are official sources. Verify the agency, date, custody status, charge, and outcome before relying on anything found there. The media-versus-database distinction is laid out in Mugshots in the News.
Kinder Custody Is Not One Jail
Kinder also holds Allen Correctional Center, a state prison. That makes three separate facilities within a small radius, and mixing them up is easy. Kinder City Jail is municipal. Allen Parish Jail, over in Oberlin, handles parish custody. Allen Correctional Center belongs to state corrections. A DPS&C search fits a state-prison name better than a fresh Kinder Police booking lookup ever will.
The arresting-agency field tells you who opened the case, not where the person sits today. A city name on a profile proves nothing about current residence or custody either. When two official displays disagree, write down the booking number and the time you checked, then call the facility listed as custodian. Status shifts faster than copied pages refresh.
- Municipal custody
- Kinder Police or city jail.
- Parish custody
- An APSO booking, possibly after transfer.
- State custody
- DPS&C confinement.
- Disposition
- The court's final result, not a roster field.
Federal custody adds one more wrinkle. ICE lists the Allen Parish Public Safety Complex in Oberlin. That opens a separate immigration route, so use the ICE or relevant federal locator when that authority holds the person. A federal pretrial detainee may be housed locally under the U.S. Marshals Service. A sentenced federal prisoner turns up through the Bureau of Prisons locator. Neither result should be labeled a Kinder booking unless the originating record actually names Kinder.
Older city cases take patience. Request the archived report and cite the exact booking item by date and agency. The APSO historical cards come with no promise of how long records were kept.
